Pittsburgh Steelers kicker Jeff Reed signed his one-year franchise tender, the team announced today.
The tender is worth $2.81 million.
The signing follows the remaining criminal charges against Reed being dropped by a Pittsburgh judge after completing community service obligations.
Reed enters his ninth season with the team and is the Steelers' all-time leader in field goal percentage (.833) and ranks second on the all-time scoring list with 855 points and 189 field goals.
Reed made 27-of-31 field goals and all 41 of his extra points last season, finishing the season with 122 points.
It marked the seventh consecutive year that Reed had scored at least 100 points in a season.
