The Philadelphia Eagles made it official, shutting down wide receiver Jeremy Maclin for the season.
Maclin tore his anterior cruciate ligament and will undergo surgery to repair the damage.
Maclin was carted off the field last weekend and was in severe pain.
The former first-round draft pick was expected to have a more prominent role this season.
Now, that season is over.
The Eagles re-signed wide receiver Nick Miller to replace Maclin on the roster.
