New York Jets outside linebacker Calvin Pace suffered an injury to his right foot and could be sidelined for a few weeks, casting doubt on his status for the team's season opener against the Baltimore Ravens on Sept. 13.
Pace recorded five tackles, one sack and a forced fumble in one half.
Pace got injured while sacking Washington Redskins quarterback Rex Grossman.
“He’s got something with his foot,’’ Jets coach Rex Ryan said after the game. “I would expect him to be out a few weeks.’’
Ryan said that Jason Taylor and Bryan Thomas will step in for Pace.
