DB also head-butts Dolphins running back in Sunday's loss. Terry McCormick
The war of words between the New York Jets defense and Miami Dolphins running back Reggie Bush continued on the field and escalated into a 15-yard penalty for Jets cornerback Antonio Cromartie, who head-butted Bush on a tackle Sunday.
Cromartie then called Bush a "punk" as the trash talk and bad blood continued after a week of build-up left over from their first meeting.
"I didn't lose my composure, I was just telling him that he's a punk," Cromartie said, according to ESPNNewYork. "That's exactly what he is."
The first of many scuffles broke out after the head-butt, but it was the Dolphins who wound up with the last laugh, steamrolling the Jets, 30-9, at MetLife Stadium.
