Jets’ Cromartie calls Reggie Bush ‘punk’

The war of words between the New York Jets defense and Miami Dolphins running back Reggie Bush continued on the field and escalated into a 15-yard penalty for Jets cornerback Antonio Cromartie, who head-butted Bush on a tackle Sunday.

Cromartie then called Bush a “punk” as the trash talk and bad blood continued after a week of build-up left over from their first meeting.

“I didn't lose my composure, I was just telling him that he's a punk,” Cromartie said, according to ESPNNewYork. “That's exactly what he is.”

The first of many scuffles broke out after the head-butt, but it was the Dolphins who wound up with the last laugh, steamrolling the Jets, 30-9, at MetLife Stadium.
