Suspended New York Jets running  back Mike Goodson broke his silence for the first time since his arrest on weapons and drug charges and his NFL punishment.

He's suspended for the first four games for violating the NFL substance-abuse policy.

Goodson expressed contrition about his misdeeds, saying his arrest was "embarrassing."

“I’m pretty disappointed in myself,” Goodson told reporters.

Goodson wouldn't say where he's been, absent from training camp until now.

No one has said if he went to rehab, but it's not a stretch to think that given that the Jets placed him on the active non-football injury-illness list and his suspension.

Goodson says he's turned things around.

“I just have my life in order," Goodson said. “I was able to get my life in order and able to just look at some things that I wasn’t happy with in myself.”
