The New York Jets cut veteran kicker Billy Cundiff, releasing the former Pro Bowl kicker and signing kicker Dan Carpenter.
Carpenter was signed to compete with Nick Folk days after being cut by the Arizona Cardinals.
Cundiff didn't miss any kicks since joining the Jets a month ago.
Carpenter was cut by the Miami Dolphins when he was beaten out by Caleb Sturgis and was only with the Cardinals for a few days before being released.
