Jets cut Joe McKnight as they get down to 75 players

The New York Jets cut disappointing running back Joe McKnight, a former fourth-round draft pick from USC>

McKnight has struggled with conditioning issues, injuries, off-field problems and his dealings with reporters.

The Jets are now down to 75 players after cutting McKnight and veteran offensive guard Stephen Peterman.

The Jets also released the following players: running back Chad Spann, offensive lineman Patrick Ford, offensive lineman Trey Gilleo, wide receiver Joe Collins, wide receiver Marcus Rucker, wide receiver K.J. Stroud, wide receiver Rahsaan Vaughn, linebacker Sean Progar-Jackson, defensive back Donnie Fletcher, defensive back Bret Lockett, punter Ryan Quigley and long snapper Patrick Scales.
