Veteran wide receiver Laveranues Coles is expected to rejoin the New York Jets after spending last season with the Cincinnati Bengals, according to ESPN New York.
Coles is set to work out for the team on Friday. Camp begins Sunday.
The Jets are in need of some depth at the position with Santonio Holmes out for the first four games for violating the NFL substance-abuse policy.
Coles, 32, was noticeably slower last year with the Bengals.
He was cut one year into a four-year, $28 million deal where he caught only 43 passs for 514 yards and five touchdowns last season.

This stuff happens, didn't cause Terrell Davis to retire, as that actually was the knee injury he sustained while tackling a Jet on an INT - that being said he was always and the donkeys cognizant of this issue with Daivs as well...migraines and nuerological problems are real for damn sure and don't make an NFL players life any easier - and seriously "karma" - give it a rest already - Favre's not the devil, hasn't been sighted hanging with Lucifer or sacrificying any virgins - well lately anyway - that was the "before PG Favre" that's marketed for mass consumption...

Laveranues "I dropped the ball and want to make excuses" Coles is done. I have no clue why the Jets are in love with him and keep bringing him back. The Jets don't need Laveranues Slows anymore. He robbed the Bengals last year with that crazy contract and didn't produce on Sundays and he won't this year either.
