Not only did the New York Jets fire offensive coorditnator Tony Sparano late Monday night, but they also booted defensive coordinator Mike Pettine as well.

While Ryan did not say who would replace Pettine, the New York Daily News reported that defensive backs coach Dennis Thurman would take on the role. The report also said that Pettine was interviewing in Buffalo to be the Bills defensive coordinator.
