Reclamation project linebacker had only one tackle this season. Terry McCormick
The New York Jets pulled the plug on their reclamation of linebacker Aayon Maybin on Tuesday.
Maybin had just one tackle this season after having had six sacks last year as a situational pass rusher.
Maybin was a former first-round pick of the Buffalo Bills, but was let go last year by them and signed by the Jets. Because the trade deadline has passed, Maybin will have to pass through waivers. If unclaimed, he will become a free agent.
