Jets go back to Sanchez to start finale

The three-ring circus that is the New York Jets continues to entertain, even with the club long out of contention for the playoffs.

Greg McElroy was lifting weights and started having headaches, so he has been ruled out of the season finale at Buffalo due to a concussion.

So Coach Rex Ryan has decided to go back to Mark Sanchez as the starting quarterback, bypassing Tim Tebow for the second time.

Ryan rationalized his decison to go with Sanchez because he said the former (and again current) starter had success against the Bills the first time around and that there are only two practices to get ready. He also said Tebow was unhappy at being skipped over again.

"That's what you'd expect from anybody," Ryan said via the Jets website. "Obviously, Tim would like a shot at it. But when you look at the situation the way it is, it's a short window, really, to get the prep time in and things, I just think it's best for our football team. It doesn't mean Tim won't play in this game, but I'm comfortable starting Mark."

The soap opera that is the Jets never ceases to amaze, even when just playing out the string.
