Former Indianapolis Colts offensive coordinator has joined the New York Jets' staff as a consultant, according to the New York Post.
This doesn't come as a surprise since Moore met with the Jets' coaches earlier this year.
“Rex and I go way back,” Moore said. “We’ve had some great games against each other. I just have so much respect for Rex and his staff and the organization. When he made the offer, I couldn’t refuse it.”
Moore, 72, was also reportedly pursued by the Baltimore Ravens.
"I don't want to talk about any of that stuff," Moore said.
Per the report, Moore will remain in South Carolina during the season and will review game video and analyze what the team is doing.
“I want to keep involved in the game,” Moore said. “I’m 72 years young. I want to keep involved. This gives me a chance. I have such great respect for Rex and his staff and the organization. It’s great.”
