Right side unsettled following benching of Hunter. Terry McCormick
The benching of Wayne Hunter has the New York Jets scrambling to find an answer at right tackle.
After Hunter gave up 2 1/2 sacks against the Giants last week, the Jets benched him and inserted Austin Howard into the lineup for now. But Howard's hold on the job may not be firm either.
The New York Daily News reports that the Jets have made inquiries around the NFL looking for a tackle to acquire in a trade.
If that doesn't work out, expect the Jets to sift through the cuts around the league this week in hopes of at least finding some more depth at the position.
