New York Jets owner Woody Johnson, while he admits frustration and that the team has plenty of work to do, says quarterback Mark Sanchez is not lazy, as he was labeled in a report that appeared on Wednesday.

"I've never heard that," Johnson said of on MSNBC's "Morning Joe" and picked up by the Newark Star-Ledger. "He's the first guy in the building every morning and the last guy to leave, so the last thing he is is lazy."

Johnson went on to say that New Yorkers won't tolerate an 8-8 finish from the Jets and that there is frustration regarding the team.

The Jets lost their final three games to finish out of the postseason, and now the off-season has been marred by a string of stories talking about disenchantment and division in the locker room.
