The New York Jets have re-signed veteran fullback Tony Richardson, one of the best lead blockers in the NFL.

ESPN first reported the transaction. It's believed to be another one-year deal for the 38-year-old.

Richardson is a valuable bodyguard for running backs Shonn Greene, LaDainian Tomlinson and Leon Washington.

Richardson is a four-time Pro Bowl selection who has also played for the Dallas Cowboys, Minnesota Vikings and the Kansas City Chiefs.
