Wide receiver will stay in New York for 2013 season. Terry McCormick
Santonio Holmes has reworked his contract to stay with the New York Jets, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN.
Holmes was scheduled to have an $11 million base salary for 2013, and with $7.5 million of that set to be guaranteed on the second day of the new league year (tomorrow), it's safe to say that without the redo, Holmes woul dhave been a candidate for release.
Now, Mark Sanchez or David Garrard or Gregg McElroy or maybe even Tim Tebow will have Holmes to throw to this season.
