New York Jets rookie wide receiver Jalen Saunders said he's still not sure what happened to him when a medical issue caused him to drive his car off the road.
“I’m not sure what it is,” Saunders said. “That’s why I got the tests done on me. I’m still waiting on information to get back from the team doctors. So whenever I figure out what is going on with my body, I’ll be happy to share what’s going on.”
The fourth-round draft pick won't play this week against the New York Giants, but Saunders says he's not worried about his football career.
Saunders is projected to be the Jets' punt returner.
“I still have a bright future ahead of me,” Saunders said. “That’s my gut feeling. I’ve got God by my side, so that’s all that matters.”
