The New York Jets have signed cornerback Ras-I Dowling to their practice squad following a successful tryout.
Dowling was a second-round draft pick in 2010 by the New England Patriots. His early struggles led to his release this past preseason and he has been unable to find a team to latch on to since.
Dowling played his college ball at Virginia, where he was named a second-team All-American in 2010.
Since being cut by New England, Dowling has also worked out for the Houston Texans and Kansas City Chiefs.
