Jets try out Daniel Fells, David Nelson

The New York Jets tried out seven players recently, including tight end Daniel Fells and receiver David Nelson, according to a league source.

Fells is a seven-year veteran who was last with the New England Patriots. For his career, Fells has 1,086 yards and eight touchdowns.

Nelson played his first three NFL seasons with the Buffalo Bills, debuting with them as an undrafted free agent in 2010. He spent some time with the Bengals this preseason but was cut.

The Jets also tried out Willie Murphy, Ray Holley, Kareem Huggins, Richard Murphy and Richard Samuel.
