Veteran receiver was waived from IR by Seahawks. Terry McCormick
The New York Jets have waived running back Kahlil Bell, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter, and could be poised to claim receiver Braylan Edwards off waivers.
Edwards was released from injured reserve by the Seattle Seahawks and if the Jets claim him, be could be able to join the team and be ready to help in Monday night's game at Tennessee.
Edwards caught 88 passes for the Jets in 2009-10, and the club is short at the position after a knee injury suffered by Stephen Hill Sunday against Jacksonville.
It would certainly be an interesting turn of events, given that Edwards recently referred to the Jets decision makers as "idiots." Wonder how he will feel if the Jets throw out a life line to him via a waiver claim.
