Starting QB won't be replaced yet by Tebow despite struggles. Terry McCormick
There was no way to sugar coat the New York Jets shutout loss to the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday.
Mark Sanchez was certainly one of the Jets who struggled most on Sunday, and with Tim Tebow as the team's backup quarterback, a ground swell of support for him to take over is already brewing.
However, Rex Ryan says Sanchez is still his quarterback for now.
“I just know in my heart right now that this is not the time,” Ryan said via the New York Daily News. “I think Tim is an outstanding player. I think Mark is. Right now, I think Mark gives us our best opportunity to win. I will always do, in my opinion, what’s in the best interest of this team... no matter who it is.”
