Chargers, Browns also interested in 49ers exec. Terry McCormick
The New York Jets appear to have a general manager candidate in their sights.
Tom Gamble, currently director of player personnel for the San Francisco 49ers, has emerged as the frontrunner to replace Mike Tannenbaum in New York, says the New York Daily News.
The Jets still have some competition for Gamble, as both the San Diego Chargers and Cleveland Browns have him on their list of candidates. Gamble also interviewed with the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Gamble knows Rex Ryan at least casually, and there is the possibility that he could be introduced as GM at Ryan's delayed season-ending press conference, which is scheduled to take place tomorrow.
