Hall of Fame running back has been estranged from his former club. Terry McCormick
Hall of Fame running back Jim Brown confirmed to the Cleveland Plain Dealer that he will attend the Browns Legends ceremony where defensive back Clarence Scott and running back Ernie Green will be inducted.
Brown, probably the greatest player in franchise history, will be at the ceremony this weekend despite his estranged relationship from the franchise. The rift between Brown and the club came after team president Mike Holmgren removed Brown from an executive advisory role to owner Randy Lerner, who has since sold the club to Jim Haslam.
"I'll be there to support Ernie," Brown told the newspaper of his plans to be in Cleveland this weekend.
