Jonathan Martin will have a chance to re-start his NFL career in San Francisco after going through a tough time in Miami.
With the 49ers trading for him, Martin reunites with Jim Harbaugh, who coached him in college when the two were the Stanford Cardinal program.
Speaking to reporters at the NFL owners meetings, Harbaugh said Martin will have a chance to re-energize himself for the grind of the NFL.
“It’s just a powerful opportunity and a powerful motivator to say, ‘You know what, that was that situation, and this is who I am as a football player,’" Harbaugh said, via the San Francisco Chroncile. "It’s like an etch a sketch where you lift the page on the etch a sketch and write a whole new history for your self."
