Hope is 49ers coach returns to team Friday Brad Biggs
San Francisco 49ers coach Jim Harbaugh is at Stanford Hospital where he is being treated for an irregular heartbeat.
The team announced that Harbaugh is not at the facility today as he has sought treatment. Special teams coordinator Brad Seely, also the assistant head coach, is running the team in his absence. The plan is for Harbaugh to return to work on Friday. The 49ers host the Chicago Bears on Monday night at Candlestick Park.
“Coach Harbaugh is not at the facility today under doctor's orders,” the Niners said in a release. “He is having a minor procedure done at Stanford Hospital today for an irregular heartbeat. We anticipate that he will be back at the facility tomorrow, but do not have any further information to share at this time. Assistant head coach and special teams coordinator Brad Seely will be overseeing today's practice and meetings. When more information regarding coach Harbaugh is available we will pass that along."
Hopefully, Harbaugh is fully healthy again soon.
