Jim Kelly won't miss Andre Reed's induction into HOF

Former Buffalo Bills quarterback Jim Kelly will not miss former teammate Andre Reed's induction into the Pro Football Hall of Fame, despite his condition battling cancer.

Kelly has been undergoing treatment for cancer, which returned earlier this year. It's been a tough time for one of the NFL's greatest quarterbacks, but, according to The Buffalo News, he's not about to miss out on seeing a friend and favorite target become enshrined into the same Hall he's a part of.

Kelly will also still participate in the coin toss for the Hall of Fame Game in Canton, Ohio, which will showcase the Bills and Giants.

“I know he’ll go hard,” said Jill Kelly, Jim Kelly's wife, “because he’s not going to miss any opportunity to be with his guys. I think he’ll be on such an emotional high that it won’t hit him until we get home. On the ride home, he’ll be physically wiped out. I hope that’s the case, because I want him to be able to take in every single bit of this.”

Kelly has endured a lot over the past few years but has always maintained a positive attidude when interviewed. The public will likely get that side of him once again when he appears at the induction ceremony and at the NFL's first preseason game on Sunday.
