Veteran defensive tackle Jimmy Kennedy visited the Buffalo Bills for a very important reason.
The unrestricted free agent wants a starting job.
Kennedy is a former St. Louis Rams first-round draft pick who started just 30 games in four seasons there.
And he resurrected his career with the Minnesota VIkings last season with three sacks.
Now, he's looking to expand his role.
"Of course," Kennedy told the Buffalo News when asked if he wanted to start. "That's basically asking me, am I satisfied with my career. I'm trying to go out there and get better. Am I satisfied with what I did last year? No. ... I'm thinking it's just a start."
Per the report, Kennedy could compete for a starting job at defensive end in the Bills' 3-4 alignment or be a substitute for Kyle Williams at nose guard.
The 6-foot-5, 320-pounder has the requisite size.
At this point in his career, the former Penn State standout is beginning to make good use of that quality.
