Joe Haden, Browns talking long-term deal

The Cleveland Browns are hoping to lock down its shutdown corner.

According to a report from NFL.com, the Browns and cornerback Joe Haden's representation have begun talks with hopes to work out a new long-term agreement.

Haden is set to enter the final year of his rookie contract, with $6.7 million expected to come his way.

With all the PR blunders since the new year, the Browns could stand to receive some good news. Getting a deal done for Haden would do just that, given he's asserted himself as one of the NFL's top cornerbacks.
