Cleveland Browns cornerback Joe Haden was booted from practice by Coach Pat Shurmur on Wednesday for being too rough with receiver Travis Benjamin, according to ESPNCleveland's Tony Grossi.

Haden had been warned not to grab Benjamin's jersey, but did so pulling the wide receiver down in a red zone drill, causing a heating exchange of words.

At that point, Shurmur intervened and made Haden go to the locker room. Asked to comment, Shurmur did not want to discuss the incident.

“I’m not gonna talk about it,” he said. “That’s between me and the player. I have a great deal of respect for Joe. If you want details, you’re going to have to find it on Twitter. My only apology is that I used bad language and the fans were here to see it.”
