QB gets stranglehold on starting job Brad Biggs
If there was ever any doubt John Beck would be the starting quarterback for the Washington Redskins, it was erased Friday night.
Beck led the Redskins on scoring drives on the first four possessions and Beck completed 14 of 17 passes for 140 yards in a 16-3 victory that improved the Redskins to 2-0 in preseason.
Beck didn’t play last week vs. Pittsburgh when he sat out with a groin injury. Rex Grossman had a fine effort vs. the Steelers but it’s been apparent the Shanahans want to make Beck their man this season. Helping Beck’s cause? When Grossman played against the Colts he was 7 for 13 for 88 yards and was intercepted once.
