Cleveland Browns rookie quarterback Johnny Manziel isn't even the backup initially, which falls in line with the theme of not treating him differently.
He took snaps third after starter Brian Hoyer and backup Tyler Thigpen during practice today.
Based on reports today, Manziel threw well and accurately.
Browns coach Mike Pettine told reporters Manziel was "inconsistent."
According to the Plain Dealer, Manziel threw on the run a lot.
"We'll take advantage of his mobility," Pettine said. "You don't take a guy like that and ask him to be a statue."
Sounds like a plan.
