Johnny Manziel won't throw at scouting combine

As Texas A&M quarterback Johnny Manziel makes his bid to become the Houston Texans' first overall pick, he won't be throwing at the NFL scouting combine or at the Aggies' Pro Day workout on March 5.

Instead, Manziel's agent, Erik Burkhardt announced on Twitter that Manziel will throw on March 27 and at private workouts.

"Teams will have all the time & access they want," Burkhardt wrote.

It's unlikely that this will affect Manziel's draft stock. He's already graded as a high first-round draft target.

Manziel became the first freshman to win the Heisman Trophy.

Manziel passed for 464 yards and five touchdowns in a loss to Alabama. He threw five touchdowns against Mississippi State.
