Oakland Raiders free agent linebacker Jon Alston visited the New York Jets today, the Newark Star-Ledger is reporting.
Per the report, he's likely a candidate to play on special teams and provide depth at linebacker
Alston is an unrestricted free agent after not being tendered by the Raiders.
He finished last season on injured reserve with a concussion.
Alston played at Stanford and was drafted in the third round by the St. Louis Rams.
Last season, Alston registered 23 tackles in four starts and nine games.
