Running back has missed two months with a foot injury. Terry McCormick
Jacksonville Jaguars head coach Mike Mularkey said Monday that running back Maurice Jones-Drew is questionable to return this week against New England after missing two months with a foot injury, per the Florida Times-Union.
Jones-Drew's foot injury has been shrouded in mystery as the Jaguars have not revealed the exact nature of the injury, other than to confirm there are no broken bones.
Barring him being 100 percent healed and wanting to play, putting MJD back in the lineup wouldn't appear to make a whole lot of sense with just two games left and the Jaguars sporting a 2-12 record, tied with Kansas City for worst in the league.
But he still leads the team with 414 yards rushing. Perhaps Mularkey needs Jones-Drew for his fantasy lineup this week.
