Jaguars running back could miss final two games as well. Terry McCormick
Maurice Jones-Drew had hoped to be able to play in at least one of the Jacksonville Jaguars' final two games, he said earlier in the week.
But those hopes appear to be a long shot as he has not practiced yet this week and probably won't play against New England. That leaves only the season finale at Tennessee, which would appear to be a long shot as well, per the Florida Times-Union.
Jones-Drew, who has missed most of the season with a foot injury, also said he will not approach the Jaguars about a contract extension after holding out all of training camp for just that.
“It’s not really up to us, it’s up to them,” he said. “They have to come to us. Obviously, we tried to come to them this offseason and it didn’t work out so it’s up to them.’’
