Cleveland Browns wide receiver Josh Gordon is appealing a potential season-long suspension for violating the NFL substance-abuse policy, according to the Cleveland Plain Dealer.
Per the report, Gordon will take part in organized team activities this week.
The Pro Bowl wide receiver is expected to participate, according to coach Mike Pettine.
"That's the expectation,'' Pettine said.
Gordon could be suspended indefinitely.
The Browns have signed wide receivers Miles Austin and Earl Bennett since the news of Gordon's status.
"We have to build this team so that no one player drives the ship," Pettine said. "That we can be insulated losing players for extended periods of time potentially is part of the game. Successful franchises are the ones that have enough depth built and enough options to account for it."
