Wide receiver Julio Jones and linebacker Sean Weatherspoon will be game-time decisions on Sunday for the Atlanta Falcons.
Both players are battling to return from ankle injuries and coach Mike Smith said the team will take it as long as it can to make a decision, according to D. Orlando Ledbetter of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
Jones tweaked his ankle in Sunday’s loss to the New Orleans Saints. He has been held out of practice the last two days and is questionable to face the Arizona Cardinals.
“These guys are so close and moving in the right direction that we’ll make a determination as late as we possibly can,” Smith said. “We can do it as late as we possibly can. They are working to get back. We are hoping that they’ll continue to progress tomorrow, Saturday and Sunday morning.”
