It was a rough NFL debut for Cleveland Browns rookie quarterback Colt McCoy, but at least he didn't break his thumb.

After bashing his hand into the helmet of offensive lineman Casey Bender, McCoy's X-rays were ruled negative. It's just a sprained right thumb, according to the Cleveland Plain Dealer.

McCoy was intercepted twice against the Green Bay Packers.

He left the game late in the third quarter after being intercepted by Green Bay Packers defensive back Derrick Martin.
