As expected, Kansas City turned down Tampa Bay’s request to interview personnel executive Chris Ballard for the Buccaneers vacancy at general manager. The Chiefs did so because, technically, the job in Tampa Bay will not have full control of the roster and therefore is not a full promotion. With the move, the Bucs now have Marc Ross of the New York Giants and Lionel Vital of Atlanta as their top candidates.
