Talk about some fortuitous timing for Colin Kaepernick.

With his fashion sense being questioned by San Francisco 49ers fans upset he was wearing a Miami Dolphins hat at a party earlier this summer, Kaepernick has been unveiled as the cover boy for the ESPN The Magazine “body issue.” That takes the conversation in an entirely different direction, that much is certain.

That means Kaepernick is on the cover without a Dolphins hat on – or anything else. The San Francisco Chronicle provides a sneak peek at Kaepernick, who has always been willing to share his tattoos. They are there for examining. The magazine hits newsstands on Friday.
