Kennard Cox gets one-year deal with Seahawks

Who says NFL teams are not working to get contracts done before the end of the league year?

There is widespread belief that the climate simply isn’t conducive to getting deals done between now and Thursday night when the current CBA expires. That didn’t stop the Seattle Seahawks from getting a minor piece of business done. The club signed cornerback Kennard Cox to a one-year contract on Monday.

The deal is reported by multiple outlets to be worth $550,000. Cox is a special teams players who will have to carve out a spot for himself on the depth chart as a reserve. And the countdown to Thursday at 11:59 p.m. continues. Tick, tick, tick.
