Andy Reid benched Kevin Kolb as the starting quarterback of the Philadelphia Eagles two years ago this week.

Kolb’s career has been down a winding path since but he has an opportunity against his former team this week as the Arizona Cardinals (2-0) host the Eagles on Sunday. Kolb is starting with John Skelton still out injured. The Eagles, of course, are 2-0 with Vick at the controls.

It is somewhat ironic,” Kolb said, according to Jeff McLane of the Philadelphia Inquirer. “I've learned through my time in Philly and through my time here, I'm not going to try and predict anything."

The Cardinals signed Kolb to a big contract with $21 million guaranteed after trading for him with the Eagles. He’s obviously disappointed to this point but the Cardinals have some momentum early in the season and we’ll see where they head with Kolb.

"I really haven't thought about it since I left there," Kolb said. "It all happens for a reason. That's the way I go about life."
