Philadelphia Eagles offensive tackle King Dunlap has been charged with reckless driving and disorderly conduct.
Nashville (Tenn.) police alleged that Dunlap drove his 2004 Cadillac Escalade onto the sidewalk outside Bridgestone Arena while there were hundreds of fans for the SEC women’s basketball tournament milling around.
Dunlap drove all the way to the doors of the arena. Per the report, when he was asked about his actions, Dunlap told police he was doing so to pick up his father who uses a wheelchair.
Police informed Dunlap he was not permitted to drive or park on the plaza. They informed Dunlap they would help his father to the vehicle if he parked in a no-parking zone. Dunlap refused to move, even after given a final warning. Dunlap was then arrested and bail was set at $1,000.
