Broncos quarterback inks one-year tender Aaron Wilson
Denver Broncos starting quarterback Kyle Orton has signed his one-year, $2.621 million tender, according to NFL Players Association records.
Orton is expected to remain the starter in Denver despite the acquisition of Brady Quinn via a trade from the Cleveland Browns.
Orton didn't set the world on fire in Denver last season, but he plays the way coach Josh McDaniels wants him to and seems to fit the Broncos' style.
And Quinn didn't distinguish himself well at all in Cleveland.
So, Orton looks to retain his status from last season, barring an injury or a slip in his play.
He passed for 3,802 yards and 21 touchdowns last season, but 10 of those scores went to Brandon Marshall.
And Marshall's departure to the Miami Dolphins for two second-round draft picks leaves the Broncos in need of a No. 1 wide receiver.
