LSU adds speedy receiver to its Class of 2014

Trey Quinn, one of the best wide receivers in the country, gave a verbal pledge to LSU on Saturday.

The 6-1, 200-pounder from Barbe High School (Lake Charles, LA) is the Tigers' 14th commitment in the Class of 2014.

Quinn, who selected LSU over major programs such as Clemson, Auburn and Texas, has been timed at 4.38 seconds in the 40-yard dash, and he has a chance to break national record holder Dorail Green-Beckham's career receiving yards mark. He enters his senior season with 4,599 receiving yards for his career and needs 1,758 yards to surpass the current Missouri Tigers receiver.

This is one of the best years for receivers in the state of Louisiana, with Quinn being one of the headliners of the class. Les Miles and his staff are also hopeful of landing pledges from Malachi Dupre and Speedy Noil.
