Sunday afternoon was a big day in Las Vegas as the LVH SuperBook released point spreads for 100 college football games as well as 35 CFB season win totals.

LVH’s “Games of the Year” lines hit the board approximately five weeks after the Golden Nugget became the first shop in the business to offer bettors an opportunity to get down on some of this season’s premier college football matchups.

Here are just a few of the key differences between the two books…

1. The Nugget opened Notre Dame as a 1-point favorite for their September 22 showdown with the Michigan Wolverines, while LVH posted the Fighting Irish at -4.5. The higher number is worth noting, as I talked to a few professionals who think Notre Dame is being overrated and that the value here lies with Michigan.

2. The LSU Tigers opened -2 at the Nugget back in June for their home matchup with Alabama on November 3, but LVH opened the game as a pick.

Brady HokeBrady Hoke's Wolverines opened as a 4.5-point dog for their annual showdown with Ohio State.

3. In perhaps the biggest adjustment to take place between the two books, Michigan is a 2.5-point dog for their annual meeting with Ohio State after opening as a 3-point favorite at the Nugget.

4. The Alabama Crimson Tide opened -17 at the Nugget for their October 20 date with Tennessee, but early bettors saw a lot of value in the dog and pounded the Volunteers. At LVH, the line opened Alabama -12.

5. Sorry, West Virginia fans, but there doesn’t seem to be a whole lot of faith in the Mountaineers this season. WVU went from -7 to -3.5 for the TCU game (Nov 3), from +4.5 to +8 for their meeting with Texas (Oct 6), from +6 to +6.5 for the Oklahoma State matchup (Nov 10) and from +4 to +7 for the Oklahoma showdown (Nov 17). LVH had over a month to examine the Golden Nugget’s lines and decided that some big adjustments needed to be made in regards to the Mountaineers.

Here’s the complete rundown (season win totals and analysis are listed below)…
