Former NFL quarterback Ryan Leaf received a nine-month sentence at a rehab facility as part of his guilty plea entered Tuesday in a Montana court room.

According to the Great Falls Tribune, Leaf entered a guilty plea to felony drug possession charges as well as a burglary charge. The deal allows Leaf to spend nine months at a facility to get treatment, and the remainder of his five-year sentence could be served outside of prison under strict supervision with random drug testing for the former No. 2 overall pick in the 1998 NFL Draft.

Leaf may not be out of trouble yet, however, as his latest problems, stemming from a pair of arrests this spring in Montana for breaking into houses to obtain painkillers, has triggered a move in Texas to revoke his parole there on a 10-year probation, also on drug-related charges.
