Safety Jim Leonhard is currently a free agent, and currently rehabbing an injury.

But solving the latter problem may in turn solve the former issue for Leonhard, who went down in Week 14 with a torn patellar tendon.

Leonhard continues to work out and tells the Newark Star-Ledger he believes there is a good possibility he could be back with the New York Jets, where he has spent the past three seasons.

"There’s still a very good possibility it could be the best situation for me," Leonhard said. "You never know. Things could change in the next two weeks with the draft; things could be better here, better there. It’s just hard to try to predict the future, and that’s been the hardest part."

Jets coach Rex Ryan is very familiar with Leonhard, as the safety was one of his players in Baltimore when Ryan was defensive coordinator there, before both wound up with the Jets.
