Randy Lerner's impending sale of the Cleveland Browns means he will give up controlling interest in the team, says Mary Kay Cabot of the Cleveland Plain Dealer.

Browns president Mike Holmgren confirmed that Jim Haslam's impending purchase of the team would make his group the majority owners of the franchise.

Holmgren also confirmed that if the Browns are sold, the team will not be moved out of town like Art Modell shuttled off to Baltimore back in 1996.
